There are several organizations out there accepting bridesmaid dresses as a donation for women in need of dresses for special occasions. You may not exactly find these organizations knocking on your door to sweep them away from your overstuffed closet. These non-profit organizations may also request that you adhere to certain guidelines like having the dress be in new or almost-new condition and / or dry-cleaned before making the donation. That being said, if you have one or more bridesmaid dresses sitting in your closet, filling up precious closet space, you may want to consider doing a huge mitzvah by donating your bridesmaid dress.
Donate My Dress is a great organization that brings together local dress drive organizations across the U.S. and offers a list of places to contact and donate your dress. Check out where to donate and receive on their website.
